Audiology

Educational Requirements
All Audiologists in Australia are required to have attained their Certificate of Clinical Practice (CCP) in order to be registered with The Audiological Society of Australia Inc (ASA). Click here for further information regarding registration with the Audiological Society of Australia Inc (ASA), and the process for gaining a Certificate of Clinical Practice (CCP).
 

ASA : CCP process

       - University Graduates: Studying audiology in Australia requires 1 year of post graduate study and a further one

          year of supervised clinical practicum. This supervision generally occurs whilst employed by an audiological

          provider.

       - Overseas: If you have not studied in Australia, the ASA recognises several countries’ qualifications as

         equivalent to the Australian CCP. In most cases ASA will require applicants to sit a written examination. For

Audiometry
Working as an Audiometrist, you will generally be performing hearing tests, prescribing hearing devices, and undertaking other hearing device related tasks.
 
The majority of Audiometrists also provide extensive rehabilitation services for hearing aid users and because Bay Audio is independent from hearing manufacturers, you’ll dispense top of the range hearing devices best suited to customers individual needs.

Educational Requirements
Becoming a qualified Audiometrist requires the relevant TAFE qualifications, industry experience and accreditation.
